Vicki continues to focus on commercial and residential design projects and enjoys every opportunity to meet new clients and be creative.

"My passion is truly interior design, remodeling and construction oversight. I love to help my clients visualize and experience the projected end results of the design by using sophisticated architectural software. I have found that this is an invaluable tool to help everyone on the team communicate better and to understand the objectives of the plan. It also saves considerable time and money in that many details can be worked out on the computer screen before construction actually begins."

Working with an Interior Designer

An interior designer will guide and help you to bring your vision to life in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Interior designers understand spaces, trends, vendors, basic construction and engineering concepts, and how to turn an abstract vision into reality.

Designers hold your hand so you won't be alone in the process. Having an expert to guide you can help make the process a little less overwhelming. One of the biggest ways an interior designer can save you time and money is by providing good construction and remodeling contractors. Village Design Group has a group of contractors and subcontractors that work with us every day. We know they are going to show up on time, and that they will be respectful of your home and possessions. They are used to working with our design staff and understand the need to follow detailed plans and instructions.
"Village Design Group was responsible for renovating a vacation home in Pinehurst. The project took six months from beginning to end which was exactly the amount of time I was told it would take. I was only able to visit the site three times during the six months. They coordinated all the contractors and made sure all the work was started and completed in a timely and professional manner. There were no surprises. We are very pleased clients." By: M Minkler
"When we built our home in 2007, Village Design Group helped us in many different capacities: from coordinating paint color with granite, hardware, and flooring choices to brick, mortar and even shingle selection! Throughout our building process, their knowledge and expertise saved us hours of our time and tens of thousands of dollars, as they understood the most time efficient and cost effective ways to accomplish our goals. After our home was built, we relied on Village Design Group to help with our decorating and furnishing needs." By : M Taylor
I have worked with Village Design on several projects over the past 7 years. The first was a turn key renovation project that turned out perfectly. The designer provided incredible service and created an updated, comfortable space for my rental property. The second project was the construction oversight and building consultation for my 6,000+ square foot home. Again, the value added services brought to our custom home were "worth every penny" as my husband will say. We would highly recommend their services for large or small projects from paint consultations, to draperies, to furniture to total build out. K. Bertalozzi.
Extremely accommodating. Very professional. Pleasant, flexible and knowledgeable. Provided direction and just enough choices. Kept us from making mistakes but definitely allowed the project to be our personalities. Have used them for a remodel as well as new construction. Very competitive pricing." R. Dye
We have worked with Vicki Stone for two projects. For the first we hired her to completely renovate our vacation condo. She managed the entire project and we couldn't have been happier! We were so pleased with what she did with the condo, we asked her to redecorate our home in Virginia. She came to our home, took pictures, measured, and gave us several options in a full proposal. She was time-efficient and budget-conscious while giving us everything we hoped for. She is professional, personable, and quite knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Vicki and Village Design Group for any project, large or small!" By : C Funderburke
Vicki Stone, designer and owner of Village Design Group, helped me update a 12 year old house thoroughly, beautifully, and economically. Over several months, we: repainted every room in the house, changed all door hardware and plumbing fixtures, painted cabinets, and replaced granite countertops. We replaced light fixtures and installed a wall mounted fireplace surrounded by custom built-in bookshelves. Vic is wonderful to work with. She is a true expert in color selection. All the staff is skilled, reliable, and friendly, and she has a roster of great tradespeople." By : L Lardner
Village Design Group is awesome! They are extremely dedicated to getting the work done right. I appreciate the professionalism of the design team and their skilled craftsmen who did the installations. I would recommend Village Design Group to anyone." By : D Ciokan
